Abstract

This study utilized descriptive comparative non-experimental research design. Using systematic sampling, there were 100 students from BSN Batch 2012 from six sections and 100 students from BSN Batch 2013 from five (5) sections chosen as respondents of the study. A set of adapted and modified questionnaire served as the main tool for this inquiry. Frequency, percentage, mean, t-test, f-test were used as statistical treatments to answer the specific problems. The study concluded that, 1) The profile of the respondents revealed that majority are 19 years old, female, professed Catholic faith and had parents as major source of support system; 2) The stress-coping mechanisms of BSN Batch 2012 in relation to the implementation of the revised Bachelor of Science in Nursing curriculum were very good; 3) The stress-coping mechanisms of BSN Batch 2013 in relation to the implementation of the revised Bachelor of Science in Nursing curriculum were very good; 4) The stress-coping mechanisms of BSN Batch 2012 and Batch 2013 in relation to the implementation of the revised Bachelor of Science in Nursing Curriculum were the same regardless of gender, religious affiliation and support system. The stress-coping mechanisms of BSN Batch 2013 in relation to the implementation of the revised Bachelor of Science in Nursing curriculum differ according to age; 5) The stress-coping mechanism of BSN Batch 2012 and Batch 2013 in relation to the implementation of the revised Bachelor of Science in Nursing Curriculum were the same.
