Abstract

This study utilized the descriptive, non-experimental, survey design. Purposive sampling was used to select 103 school nurses in different elementary and high schools in Cavite as respondents. A self-made questionnaire was utilized to obtain data. Frequency distribution, Levene's test for equality of variances, mean, percentile, standard deviation, t-test and f-test were used to analyze data. The study found out that, 1) Majority of the respondents were female, 20-30 years old and had been working for less than five (5) years; 2) The respondents had a high level of knowledge related to abuse and neglect in school age children; 3) There was no significant difference in the level of knowledge related to abuse and neglect in school age children among school nurses when grouped according to gender, age and years of service.
